Once again HF Holidays has teamed up with the Family Holiday Association to welcome families who would not otherwise afford a Feel Good Break with the gift of a break away in the outdoors, the chance to spend quality time together and to meet other families.
Read the tale of the Feel Good Break here:
The most recent break took place last weekend (14-16 November 2014) at HF Holidays’ Country House, the Peveril of the Peak, in the Peak District.
12 families participated and everyone who took part was very happy with their holiday experience.
One parent said: “Being together with all my family members doing outdoor activities was the best moment. The trip was beyond words for me to describe.”
The family left feeling that they would probably now do more outdoor activities.
With the glorious Dove Dale gorge less than a mile from the Peveril of the Peak families walked down to the the famous stepping stones which proved entertaining for all ages.
The weather was perfect and many parents left feeling inspired to continue spending quality time together as a family out of doors.
To ensure that the families had suitable footwear to enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably, our partners at Millets and Hi-Tec generously donated 50 pairs of boots and waterproof jackets to the participants.
The Feel Good Break programme is aimed at families with children at Key Stage 1 & 2. Through outdoor activities, healthy food menus and sociable games and activities, families receive a holiday experience and an introduction to walking as a free and uplifting activity.
We’re thrilled that these families left having had a great time!
